The Smart Point Cloud: Structuring 3D Intelligent Point Data

Florent's research interests lie in spatial data acquisition and characterization, 3D modeling process automation, and AI-assisted spatial reasoning and structuration. Florent initially focused on developing a Smart Point Cloud (SPC) infrastructure for the automated processing of point cloud data to create intelligent environments. The SPC infrastructure provides an interoperable and modular architecture for unified processing and easy integration into existing workflows. This work resulted in publications in high-impact journals, one of which received a best paper award. Florent is involved in projects that integrate AI systems in 3D Modelling processes, some of which resulted in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences. He is also largely involved in transmitting knowledge and code solutions to help researchers and professionals in our community.
